The customer needed a program operational on a touch screen on the Windows system. The program was to be operated by children aged 3-10 and to enable:
- the application of backgrounds for colouring;
- colouring, dragging and pasting elements from cartoons;
- painting;
- selection of colours;
- saving and printing the effects of work.
The target locations of terminals with the program were public libraries within the territory of Denmark.
We designed a simple and user-friendly interface tailor-made to the major group of users. We created a reliable and very efficient application. Reliable - since the terminals are in operation 24 hours a day. Efficient - since the terminals do not possess a considerable design power and are unable to display Flash animations and applications on large screens. The application is additionally easy to operate for the customer. The customer may single-handedly change drawings for colouring and add new shapes and pictures which children drag to the board. The customer has also access to the statistics on the usage of the application.
